Neumann KM86
Dual-diaphragm multi-pattern condenser. This is general Neumann condenser with multi-pattern pickup. My understanding is that the mic is rather neutral, making it more appealing for classical recording. It’s a great microphone and has all the trademark high-end tweaks Neumann is famous for having.
I used this microphone exclusively at Interlochen Public Radio, Interlochen, Michigan. Everything from standard Blumlein to hi-lites in orchestra.
