Professional New York Quintet performing an African-style repertoire. One of my more favorite concerts, and a group who even came to Lansing when I was going to State! Their first piece opened with a very cool arrangement of Afro Blue whlie each member came from each side of the hall. I freaked out a bit, however there is also a hanging pair of KM84’s in addition to the pair on stage, so mixing live to 2-track I did some very careful fading while they wandered around. Some reverb later, and this gig sounded well-rounded…. [yeah, a pun for Blumlein]
