Interlochen, Interlochen - Public Radio Studio A.
Live from Studio A is a program featuring both guest artists, students and faculty who perform live on the air to IPR’s very critical audience in Northern Michigan. The mics in this session were placed by myself and the senior engineer. This was a strange recording, because the oboist needed to read the pianist’s music, so the mic had to be placed in a very paticular spot. Other processing is done in the control room (including T.C. reverb) and sent to the broadcast room down the hall. There is also an interview before and after done in studio A with the host.
