So we’re making the transition into smaller duets and trios, and some soloist groups performing for the weekly Sunday coffee concerts. I was able to engineer the second concert, assisting on the first. More I’ve started to realize how tricky this particular room can be, though has a nice low noise floor, well built for outdoor isolation and usually has a quiet audience… just great to be able to focus on the recording.
I tried going a little wider and higher with the spaced pair, and played around with different positions with a piano spot. The recording sounded alright; just need more concerts in that hall to find a sweet spot.
