DPA 4015
The Wide Cardioid version. DPA’s are known for flat frequency response, uncolored sound, and a over-hyped price tag. Both the wide and normal cardioid microphones are considered standards in the classical recording arena.
Personally they are still a little harsh for my ears, though I know older engineers like them… a theory I won’t get into here.
