Dynamic cardioid. While feels cheep (as least to me), and has a very non-flat frequency response characteristic, it’s a versatile and well-established microphone in rock and jazz studios. I’ve seen it used on Grammy-winning techniques for a bottom snare, and as tom mics - usually for the higher-pitched drums.
