Earthworks TC40
Two matched pair at Banff. Having never worked with the Earthworks, but at one point considering them as a purchase a few years ago, I took some time with them. Initially they were used at The Club as a stereo pair in the rafters… not the best listening situation. I've heard they are not used often because the smaller diaphragms have a higher s/n ratio, and compared with the DPA/B&K selection I normally have it was difficult to try them out. I do like them, and would consider a pair, but would not always be my first choice.
